In honor of National Pet Month we have brought back the extremely popular "Adopt a Reading Pal" program!
Kids who visit the library and check out a book have the opportunity to pick out a stuffed pet and make a pledge to read to their pet for at least 15 minutes each day.
This program will run through the end of May or while supplies last.

💓Checking out a book? Check your blood pressure too!
💓Maintaining a healthy blood pressure is important for lowering your risk of heart disease and stroke. But the only way to know your numbers is to check your blood pressure. Now you can check out a blood pressure kit the same way you check out a book. The kit contains a blood pressure cuff as well as materials from the American Heart Association Northern California to help you measure blood pressure at home. So check it out and check how your heart is doing!
A blood pressure cuff kit is now available at the Hamilton City Library and Bayliss, Elk Creek, and Orland libraries.
An additional XL cuff kit and table top blood pressure monitor is also available at the Orland Free Library.
