The Sedgwick County Zoo is always a favorite end-of-the-year field trip for our littles! 🦒🐒🌎

Students had a blast exploring the zoo and seeing animals from all around the world representing different continents. From towering giraffes to playful penguins, there was excitement around every corner!

And thankfully…they didn’t lose their teachers in the monkey exhibit 🤪🙈

A day full of learning, laughter, and lots of memories made! 🚌☀️

Tiny hands + big hearts = the sweetest Mother’s Day gifts 💐🩷

Our PreK-2nd graders created these adorable ring and jewelry holders using their very own handprints in clay! Students carefully painted and decorated each one, making every gift unique and special for their mommas on Mother’s Day.

The love, excitement, and creativity poured into these little keepsakes made them extra meaningful. We know these treasures will be cherished for years to come! 💍🎨💕

Mrs. Powell’s 5th graders put their creativity and science skills to the test with these awesome plant and animal cell models! To wrap up the school year, students spent time learning, labeling, and defining the different organelles to prepare for their final projects. From candy mitochondria to watermelon membranes, these projects were the perfect mix of hands-on learning, creativity, and fun. So proud of the hard work these students showed! 🦠

Junior High English students recently participated in “speed dating” book talks after finishing the novel A Long Walk to Water! 📚💬

Students rotated through different “dates” and discussion topics, sharing their thoughts, perspectives, and literary analysis with classmates in a fun and engaging way. Through the novel, students have been learning about the ongoing water crisis in Sudan and the inspiring story of a young refugee who grew up to help provide access to safe water for others in his home country.

This activity combined reading comprehension, critical thinking, and meaningful conversation while making literary analysis interactive and enjoyable. Great discussions and thoughtful insights from our junior high students!

Our 8th grade Algebra I students recently took on a “Tanked”-inspired challenge by designing and building their own fish tanks! 🐠📐

Each group was given a teacher’s description that included the shape, interior design ideas, and total gallon size of the tank. From there, students had to use their math skills to determine the dimensions, perimeter, and overall structure needed to make their tank fit the required volume.

This hands-on project combined creativity, problem-solving, and real-world algebra applications as students worked through measurements, calculations, and construction planning. Great job to Mrs. Ebberts our students for bringing math to life in such a fun and engaging way!
