This Memorial Day, we want to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. They will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with our loved ones this weekend, let’s not forget that our freedoms come at a great cost. We are grateful to those who gave their lives in defense of our nation and also to the families who carry their memory each day.

The Hamilton Police Department asks that you join us in honoring and remembering our fallen heroes this Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

Today, we celebrate Officer Ernie Huff's retirement from the Hamilton Police Department.

Officer Huff started his journey with the department on July 3, 1989 and retired today with 37 years of service with the Hamilton Police Department.

Please join us in congratulating Ernie for his dedication and commitment to the citizens of Hamilton.

There is typo at the bottom of the release, regarding the no parking signs. Vehicles parked on the route streets after 8am on Monday May 25th, 2026 may be towed.

With today being National Police Memorial Day, we pause to remember the Hamilton officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community. As part of this day of remembrance, flowers were placed at the gravesites of these fallen officers:

Arthur Walke
Harry Baker
Charles Stegemann
Arthur Sponsel
Aaron Laubach
George Lentz
Earl Grubb

Today, we honor their courage, service, and dedication to protecting others. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we remain grateful for the lives they lived and the legacy they left behind.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Kroger for generously donating flowers for the gravesites. Your kindness and support helped make this tribute even more meaningful.

Today, Texas Roadhouse stopped by the police department and dropped off some of their wonderful food to us. We would like to take a moment to thank them for their support and kindness. Their generous act is greatly appreciated.

During National Police Week, we honor the men and women who wear the badge and the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

We also want to take a moment to thank our community. Your support, encouragement, kindness, and partnership mean more than you know. Whether it is a wave while on patrol, a message of appreciation, attending community events, or simply taking the time to build relationships with our officers-those moments matter.

Today, as we start National Police Week, we want to thank Bio-One of Dayton & Dayton Hoarding for stopping by and dropping off breakfast. Breakfast may have been DONUTS...but they also dropped off care packages to all of our K9's and therapy dogs!

We can't thank you enough for your thoughtfulness. You sure made our Monday! 🍩
