A new sign with a peak into the past!
After nearly 15 years, the park sign was in need of repair and updating. We teamed up with a community member to review some history of the location and incorporated it into the new sign design to make it a bit more interesting!
Here are some highlights of the new design:
* East Saugatuck is written in the font of the original East Saugatuck Food Market (historical picture posted)
* The green field in the sign represents farming; the core industry of East Saugatuck
* There is a timeline of East Saugatuck in the green on the far right of the sign showing some key dates in the town of East Saugatuck.

Thanks to those that made and installed the previous sign around 15 years ago, and to those that helped make the new sign possible in 2026.
Attached is a picture of the East Saugatuck “Corner” from before the park. The East Saugatuck Civic Association (The formal non-profit name of the Park) was formed in Sept of 1971. Thanks to all those who had vision to create this a park and have supported the park over the years!
