From James Mills for Lt. Governor
"My friends Bill Redpath for Senate, Brennan Barrington for US house 15, and I had a great time at the meet the candidates night in Columbus.
Thank you so much to Stonewall Columbus for organizing and hosting it! Seems like it was a great turnout from all parties- as I always say, you can’t learn to love thy neighbor without stepping out to meet them, so I appreciated the fact this was non-partisan in all candidates were genuine in their conversations.
My biggest takeaway is that everyone is disenfranchised and that we don’t want to continue to pick our poison.
Quit voting for the lesser of two evils and choose someone who is more in line with your principles and won’t compromise on your or their own integrity. "

From Jason Purviance candidate for Ohio House 47.
Citizen voices are getting results in Butler County.
• Garver Family Farm Market & Cold Water Creek Winery: a judge dismissed the county’s court challenge
• City of Oxford, Ohio: Council ended the Flock camera program after public comment
• City of Trenton, Ohio : residents gathered signatures and the Ohio Supreme Court ordered their data-center question onto the ballot Woodsdale and Trenton Environmental Resistance {W.A.T.E.R.}
• Madison Township, & St. Clair Township: trustees objected to a 600-acre annexation despite a multimillion-dollar offer
• County townships: commissioners approved a 6-month pause on data-center applications in townships they zone.
When neighbors speak clearly, local government is supposed to listen. None of this happens unless people show up. That’s the lesson.
Thank you to everyone who spoke up and became the change they wanted to see! I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!

From Jason Purviance for Ohio House 47
" just posted a proposal for Responsible Data Center Standards.
While this is not a ban, it is a comprehensive road map. It is a set of rules so that if a large data center wants to locate here, it pays its own way and is not a burden on the community.
That means covering its own infrastructure costs, staying off farmland and food-processing land, restoring roads and homes it disturbs, and meeting clear limits on noise, water, power, and construction damage. The deal is done in public. No secret NDAs. No taxpayer giveaways. No eminent domain to force a private project through.
That matters because these facilities are often treated like a warehouse. By the time residents learn the real cost to wells, electric bills, farms, and nearby foundations, the approval is already moving.
Read the full proposal and tell me what you think:

“We’re all human beings, and everyone should be treated as such,” Kissick said. “I mean that includes the transgender community. The idea of passing laws to try and restrict their basic rights, it’s just wrong in and of itself."
