September is Su***de Prevention Month.

For us, awareness isn't confined to one month. But September gives our community an opportunity to talk openly about veteran su***de, reduce stigma, and remind veterans that asking for help is a sign of strength.

On September 16, our community will stand together for 17 hours during Silent Watch, honoring the Butler County veterans we've lost and bringing attention to those who may still be struggling.

Volunteers stand in 20 minute shifts beside a flag draped casket from 6:00 AM until 11:00 PM.

Veteran Dental Care Goes Beyond a Cleaning

BCVSC's Dental Program was created to help eligible Butler County veterans access dental care that might otherwise be out of reach.

For some veterans, that starts with an exam, X-rays and a cleaning. For veterans who qualify and need additional treatment, the program may also help provide access to more comprehensive dental care.

If you've been putting off dental care because of the cost, don't assume you don't qualify. Give us a call and let our team walk you through the program and eligibility requirements.

What's Next for Veterans Appreciation Day? We Want to Hear From You.

Hamilpalooza Veterans Appreciation Day 2026 is behind us, but we're already beginning to think about 2027.

And before we decide what comes next, we want to hear from you.

What would make you want to attend a Butler County Vet Fest?

🎢 Live music?
πŸ– Veteran lunch or cookout?
🚁 Military and first responder displays?
🎯 Activities and competitions?
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ More activities for families?
🀝 Veteran organizations and resources?
πŸŽͺ Something completely different?

We're exploring what the next Veterans Appreciation Day could look like, and nothing is predetermined.

Veterans, families and members of our community are invited to take a few minutes to complete our survey and tell us what YOU would like to see.

Your feedback will help us determine what comes next.

Help us build Vet Fest 2027 together.

A Quick Update From BCVSC

If you've contacted our office recently, you may have experienced a longer wait than you're accustomed to. We want you to know that we're aware of it and we're working on it.

Over the past several weeks, we've welcomed new members to the BCVSC team. They are currently completing training so they can provide the level of knowledgeable, accurate service our veterans deserve.

Training takes time, particularly when it comes to VA benefits and claims. We'd rather take the time to train our staff correctly than rush the process.

We appreciate your patience as our new team members get up to speed.

Our goal remains the same: providing Butler County veterans and their families with knowledgeable, professional and timely service.

Thank you for giving our new staff a little grace while they learn the ropes.
