Last night at our board meeting, the incredible Kim Brandner was honored with the prestigious Horace Mann Crystal Owl Award! 🦉✨

As a dedicated manager in our Food Service department, Kim goes above and beyond every single day to ensure our students and staff are well-nourished, supported, and greeted with a smile. She doesn't just manage a cafeteria; she builds community and fuels our future.

We are so proud to have her as part of our Hamilton City School District family. Thank you, Kim, for your outstanding commitment, hard work, and the remarkable care you pour into our schools!

Saturday (5/16/26) Garfield Middle School hosted the Garfield America 250 Community Fair. History came to life to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation with Revolutionary War era performances, an 1800's style baseball game, live reading of the Declaration of Independence, along with food trucks, vendors, carnival games and the evening concluded with a massive fireworks display!

As another incredible school year comes to a close, we want to wish our entire Big Blue community—students, staff, parents, and community members—a safe, happy, and truly relaxing summer break.

You have all worked incredibly hard this year, demonstrating dedication, resilience, and a commitment to learning. Whether you're a student moving on to the next grade or a senior embarking on a new adventure, a staff member taking a well-deserved rest, or a parent supporting your children's educational journey, we are so proud of you.

Take this time to recharge, spend time with loved ones, and pursue your passions. Get some fresh air, read for pleasure, explore new places, or simply enjoy some quiet moments. We are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall, ready to continue our shared journey of growth and achievement.

Big congratulations to Madelyn, a talented 7th grader at Garfield Middle School, for being named the winner of our Starbucks Challenge Contest!

This wonderful opportunity came to life thanks to Garfield Middle School Art Teacher, Ms. Frey, who encouraged the entire school to participate in an "Acts of Kindness" project. Partnering with our local Starbucks (Fairfield, Rt. 4), students were challenged to use their artistic talents to spread kindness through creativity.

Madelyn went above and beyond, submitting numerous beautifully creative designs, each guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone receiving them. Moving forward, her artwork will be shared directly on Starbucks cups given to customers as part of this community-wide kindness initiative.

Thank you, Madelyn, for using your passion to brighten someone else's day. Way to represent Garfield Middle School and our entire district!

¡Muchas felicidades a Madelyn, una talentosa estudiante de 7.º grado de la Garfield Middle School, por haber sido nombrada ganadora de nuestro concurso "Starbucks Challenge"!

Esta maravillosa oportunidad se hizo realidad gracias a la profesora de arte de la Garfield Middle School, la Sra. Tomorrow is the big day! Wednesday, May 20th, is officially the last day of school for all students in the Hamilton City School District.

As we wrap up an incredible 2025-2026 school year, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated teachers, hardworking staff, supportive parents, and—most importantly—our phenomenal students. You have all demonstrated resilience, excellence, and true school spirit this year.

Please ensure all district-issued devices, library books, and outstanding materials are returned to your child's school by the end of the day tomorrow. Let’s celebrate a fantastic year and kick off a safe, happy summer break!

¡Mañana es el gran día! El miércoles 20 de mayo es, oficialmente, el último día de clases para todos los estudiantes del Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Hamilton.

Al concluir un increíble año escolar 2025-2026, queremos expresar nuestra más profunda gratitud a nuestros dedicados maestros, a nuestro esforzado personal, a los padres que nos brindan su apoyo y —lo más importante— a nuestros fenomenales estudiantes. "It was so fun. The kids were so juiced. We were handing out high fives... and we were honestly just excited to be here."
"The kids that are participating today will in future years help teach our younger students what they've learned today."

The normal blue and white of the Hamilton City School District was replaced by orange and black at Ridgeway Elementary as more than a dozen rookies from the Cincinnati Bengals paid a visit to the school. The players practiced and played flag football with the students thanks to partnership with Kettering Health. It's a way Kettering Health is proud to be active in the Hamilton community.

Ridgeway recieved a flag football kit from the Bengals earlier in the school year and intigrated into their curriculum as part of being healthy and active, as well as showing good sportsmanship.

The entire school welcomed the team with loud cheers, high fives and many signs. And the Bengals responded with high fives of their own, as well as signing many autographs for the students.

Today, the halls of our Main Campus were lined with hundreds of students and staff for an emotional and well-deserved clap-out honoring two legendary members of our school community: Officer Ernie Huff and Steve Heckman.

To celebrate their years of unwavering service to the Hamilton City School District, the Hamilton High School Band set the energy high, playing the fight song loud and proud as the guest of honors made their way through the crowd. The celebration culminated with Superintendent Mrs. Andrea Blevins and Principal Ty Smallwood presenting and reading official proclamations from Mayor Moeller, honoring their lasting impact on our city and schools.

Thank you, Officer Ernie and Steve, for your dedication, protection, mentorship, and kindness. You have shaped the lives of countless students, and your presence in our halls will be deeply missed. Congratulations on your retirement!

Hoy, los pasillos de nuestro Campus Principal se llenaron de cientos de estudiantes y miembros del personal para un emotivo y merecido homenaje, rindiendo tributo a dos miembros legendarios de nuestra comunidad escolar: el oficial Ernie Huff y Steve Heckman.

Para celebrar sus años de servicio inquebrantable al Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Hamilton, la Banda de la Escuela Secundaria Hamilton elevó la energía del ambiente, interpretando el himno de la escuela con fuerza y ​​orgullo mientras los homenajeados se abrían paso entre la multitud. The Linden Leopards have officially crushed their End-of-Year MAP goals! 🐾📚

To celebrate this massive academic milestone, our dedicated students earned a chilly reward: a chance to dump buckets of water straight over the heads of their administrators! 💦 From the classroom to the splash zone, these students gave 100% effort all year long, and our brave administration team was more than happy to cool off to celebrate that success.

Congratulations to all of our hardworking Leopards, teachers, and staff who made these incredible gains possible. Your determination and focus have truly shone through!

Our community spirit was on full display at the Garfield America 250th Community Fair! We are immensely proud of the dedication shown by our exceptional Garfield staff and talented students who put countless hours into organizing, creating, and hosting this landmark event. From historical showcases to vibrant community booths, your hard work brought our history and neighborhood together in a truly spectacular way. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to making this celebration such a resounding success for our district.

Today, the Hamilton City School District extends its deepest gratitude to 26 outstanding professionals who are officially retiring from our schools. From the classroom to our buses, and from our main campuses to our maintenance facilities, these individuals have shown unwavering dedication to our students and community year after year.

Thank you for your hard work, your passion, and your commitment to excellence. You have shaped the future of Hamilton, and you will be greatly missed.
