The Hamilton Police Department would like to thank the Northwest Alabama RC&D Council and our legislators for their support of public safety through this funding opportunity.

Through a grant awarded during FY2025, we were able to purchase new portable radios for a portion of our Patrol Division. After receiving these radios, they were immediately put into service on our existing communications infrastructure that we upgraded in 2024.

This investment helps strengthen communication capabilities, improve officer safety, and enhance our ability to serve Hamilton.

Thank you Northwest Alabama RC&D Council for your support and for making a positive impact in our community.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to give a big thank you to the ladies who keep everything running behind the scenes.

At HPD, they handle a lot; from phones and records to helping both our officers and the public day in and day out. A lot of what they do doesn’t always get seen, but it makes a big difference.

Pati and Bethany, we appreciate everything y’all do to keep things moving and support the whole department.
