The new U.S. Flag Retirement Drop Box has officially arrived at the Butler County Veterans Memorial!

This upgraded stainless steel kiosk replaces the aging mailbox-style drop and provides a more secure, respectful, and durable location for the community to retire worn American flags properly.

The new unit also includes a donation slot to help support ongoing care and improvements at the memorial.

A special thank you to everyone who continues to support this project and help us preserve Veterans Park as a place of honor, remembrance, and patriotism for generations to come.

If you have a worn or tattered American flag, please remember:
🇺🇸 Flags should never be thrown in the garbage or shredded.

🚧🇺🇸 Pardon Our Dust – Phase 3 Underway 🇺🇸🚧

As we continue improvements at the Butler County Veterans Memorial, we are beginning Phase 3 of the project.

The existing flag drop box (pictured) will soon be removed and relocated to AMVETS Post 1983 at 914 Ross Avenue, where it will continue to serve the community.

In its place, Veterans Park will be receiving a new stainless steel U.S. Flag Retirement Drop Box, expected to be installed in approximately three weeks. This upgraded unit will provide a more durable, secure, and respectful way for our community to retire worn American flags.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance this space of remembrance and reflection.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to Darana Hybrid for quickly stepping up and getting a team on-site this Monday to evaluate the Butler County Veterans Memorial grounds.

Because of their responsiveness and willingness to help on short notice, we’re pleased to share that Phase 3 is back on track as irrigation installation moves forward.

We’ll also be upgrading the flag retirement drop box to a larger-capacity unit to better serve our community.

This is what local partnership looks like, companies willing to step in and make a difference when it matters most. Thank you to Darana Hybrid for supporting this project and the veterans and families it represents.

We are incredibly grateful for the coverage and invite everyone to take a few minutes to watch, share, and reflect.
