SCAM ALERT
It has come to our attention that scam calls are being made and saying that they are with the Marion County Jail. Some calls are to inform them that a family member is in jail and some are that their family members are being released from jail. THIS IS A SCAM. We do not make calls from the Marion County Jail for either of these circumstances.

Multi-County Investigation Leads to Ex*****on of 12 Search Warrants and Seizure of More Than 1,500 Kratom Products

Investigators with 25th Judicial District Attorney Office, in coordination with law enforcement agencies across North Alabama, including Hamilton Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Winston County Sheriff’s Office, Double Springs Police Department, Lynn Police Department, Addison Police Department, Jasper Police Department, Fayette County Sheriffs Office, Berry Police Department, Alabama Drug Task Force Region E, ALEA narcotics and the ABC board executed 12 search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation involving the sale and distribution of products containing kratom.

The search warrants were executed at locations across Marion, Winston, Fayette, Walker, Jefferson, St. Clair, Etowah, and Calhoun Counties.

As a result of today’s enforcement operation, investigators seized a total of 1,528 bottles and containers containing kratom products, along with additional suspected kratom-related products and evidence. The seized items included a variety of commercially packaged products, including liquid shots, capsules, powders, and other kratom products.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges or enforcement actions may be forthcoming as investigators continue to analyze the evidence collected during today’s operation.

This multi-county operation demonstrates the commitment of participating law enforcement agencies to working collaboratively across jurisdictional boundaries to investigate the distribution of substances that pose a risk to the health and safety of the communities they serve.

Additional information and arrest will be released as it becomes available and as the investigation allows.

It has been brought to our attention that scammers are contacting people acting as if they are Bail Bondsman. We only have 4 companies we deal with. You can call the jail for that information.
Also, a Bail Bondsman will never contact you first! The client has to make first contact.

Please do not get scammed by giving them access to your personal information!

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information pertaining to a stolen travel trailer. A 2019 Puma by Palomino was taken from County Highway 62, in Haleyville. The trailer was taken sometime between 03/22 and 03/23/2026. The serial number is 4X4TPUG28KP078330. Anyone with information, can contact the MCSO investigations division at 205-921-7433

Today marks one year since Chasity Galbreath was reported missing.

She was last seen on January 9, 2025, on surveillance video at the Love’s Travel Center in Jasper, Alabama, and was occupying an orange Jeep Renegade. Chasity was later reported to have walked away from the vehicle after it became disabled during a winter weather event on County Highway 45, north of I-22 near the Pea Ridge community in rural Marion County.

One year has passed, but the search for answers continues, and her family and loved ones have not been forgotten.

Santa BOLO from our friends at Marion County Alabama 911 🎅🏽🎄

We are receiving some preliminary information from the North Pole Police Department regarding a BOLO (Be On the LookOut) for a red vehicle traveling across the country at a high rate of speed. We should have enough information to release the BOLO around 6:00 PM tonight (Christmas Eve).

You can monitor the BOLO in real-time on the Marion County law enforcement frequency using a scanner, or there are various apps/websites that stream scanner audio. We'll post a few of them in the comments, and also post a recording afterwards in case you missed it.
