The solarium is one of those spaces that feels alive from morning to evening. The light pours in so softly and warmly. It stays bright and cozy enough for everything to thrive, turns absolutely dreamy when a thunderstorm rolls through, and has also become the favorite lounging and playroom for the cats. It is equal parts garden room, retreat, and little piece of calm in the house.

We purchased our favorite building in downtown Hamlet, NC! It has the best bones, so much character, and way too much potential to stay deserted any longer. We’re so excited to bring it back to life and pour love into the little town that deserves it most. Lots of fun ahead!

I finally took the time to make a space I spend so much time in reflect what I love.

Shopped my home for this velvet tufted settee, a fun lamp, and a burl tray to catch the papers. Kept the curtains, added a new rug… and now it’s a room I actually enjoy being in.

Old homes have a way of making you notice and appreciate the seasons. Sunlight pours through the big windows, we open the vestibule door to let the crisp spring air drift inside, and we start seeds in the sunroom and breakfast room to give our garden a head start. It all feels so special.

Found this lantern in Mexico, and my in-laws were kind enough to bring it back for me!

We’ve been waiting for just the right fixture for the carport, and this one feels meant to be. I love how it gives Minturn a subtle Hispanic flair, rich in color and pattern, but still timeless and refined.

Our Hispanic culture is such an important part of who we are, and I’m always looking for thoughtful ways to weave a little bit of it into our home decor.

This picture of our breakfast room deserved its own spot. I love the ruffles, embroidered florals, stripes, antique chairs, and Belgian pottery. Every piece was a “love!” find, and I adore how it all came together in one of my favorite rooms in the house

Updated our dining room with new drapes!

An affordable linen-like fabric with tailored pinch pleats and a thermal backing to help retain warmth now and cool air as the seasons change. While I’m slowly introducing more color and personality into our home, this camel tone keeps the dining room beautifully neutral, allowing flexibility with table linens, candles, and florals throughout the year.

They’re from Amazon and under $60 for a set of two. Happy to share the link if you’re interested.

Tapestries are having a moment, and honestly, they deserve the hype. There’s no better way to add texture and color to a wall while also bringing in real age and history. Timeless, layered, and full of character.

Both this dresser and the tapestry came from Hamlet House Antiques, a true gem right here in our small town. Tammy, Don and Janis are the best. If you’re local, go give them a visit and don’t miss their booth at Design Market in Aberdeen!

A space for Legos, books, and movie nights. Such a blessing to have a place just for the kids. Fun and colorful without the chaos. And I’ll always take any opportunity to display family memories in cute frames!

Our vestibule doesn’t get much love on a normal day since we usually come in through the back door. But with this weather, the kids are in and out the front door nonstop, dropping gloves, hats, shoes… you name it.

It was clear this space needed a little makeover to actually function for real life. So I shopped the house, moved a few things around, and turned it into exactly what we needed…simple, practical, and ready for the chaos.

Proof that sometimes the best updates don’t require buying anything new, just rethinking what you already have.
