ATTENTION: ON AUGUST 11 at 6 PM the County Legislature will take an important vote at the Monroe County Office Building (39 West Main St.).
The Legislature will vote to accept or deny a $161,283 grant (aka the Stonegarden Grant) to fund collaboration between the County Sheriff's office and Customs & Border Control. Monroe County should NOT promote ICE detention of our immigrant neighbors.
1. Call your county legislator; find who represents you at https://www.monroecounty.gov/legislature-find Tell them to vote NO on accepting the Stonegarden Grant to fund the Sheriff to collaborate with CBP/ICE
2. Sign up to speak before the vote by calling 585-753-1950. You must call before 1 pm on August 11.

The Hamlin Democratic Committee is pleased to announce our Candidate for Hamlin Town Supervisor, SHARON STEIGERWALD.
Sharon has a remarkable history of volunteerism in our town. She currently serves as the Chair of the Democratic Committee as well as serving on the Town Planning Board and Assessors Review Board. She also volunteers with Hamlin Recreation and Hamlin’s Cultural Committee. Her background in both business and education will prove to be a huge asset to the Town of Hamlin.
Hamlin needs a Supervisor who is aware of the needs of all residents and businesses. By being a good listener, Sharon will be an active advocate for needed advancements in our town. She is also able to be an advocate at the County and State levels.
Sharon will be sharing her plans and gathering ideas from all town residents on this page, as well as in person and on her new Campaign page. Please plan to be a part of Hamlin’s future by following and attending her upcoming Campaign events!
