🏊There has been an update to our facilities swimming operations.

⏲️Swimming will be closed on August 18th, August 24th and
August 31st through September 3rd. On August 28th hours will be shortened to 11am-3pm. Outside of those dates hours will remain the same.

🏖️This summer in Hamlin Beach State Park, lean into summer with a nature-themed slow flow yoga and meditation practice, enjoy an evening outing on one of our “Full Moon Phenology” hikes, bring the family for story time and activities during “Beach Bookworms”, and look for crayfish, butterflies, birds and bats on one of our many nature walks and more!

🏊There are new swimming hours this week at Hamlin Beach State Park!

🫠Due to the expected heat, new swimming hours are 11am to 8pm.

🕐This extension is set to last from Monday 06/29 to Thursday 07/02.

🌊Hamlin Beach State Park swimming season has begun!

🛟Swimming is permitted only where lifeguards are present.

⏰When swimming is open, lifeguards are in Area 3, 11am to 6:45pm daily.

💦The water is tested every week to ensure the safety of swimmers.

🎆Bash at the Beach is back at Hamlin Beach State Park! Festivities run 3pm to 10pm on June 27th, 2026.

⛅This day full of family-friendly festivities and food will be located in Area 3 in Hamlin at 1 Hamlin Beach State Park, Hamlin, NY.

🚘The event itself is free, the standard $9 vehicle use fee to enter the park will apply.

😎Kids sandcastle/sculpture event from 3:00pm - 4:30pm.

👭The friends of Hamlin Beach State park will be tabling from 6pm to 9pm!

🌭Food will be provided! Yanty Marsh Store & Shore Concession – Hots,
Hamburgers, Ice Cream and More!

🎸Big finish out with a “Blue Sky of Rochester" concert from 6pm to 9:45pm and fireworks from Youngs explosives in Area 1 beach at 10pm.

👐🏻Area 1 is now open! Come by to experience all the new updates that this park as to offer!

⛺Camping is in full swing, books up to 9 months in advance through reserveamerica.com.

🌇Watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets over Lake Ontario here in the park.

🎠There are various playgrounds spread throughout the park.

🍀Make sure to subscribe to The Genesee Naturalist, the free newsletter for state parks in the area, the inside source for year-round guided adventures, outings, hike series, lectures and more for each season!
