A heat advisory remains in effect through Wednesday evening. Heat index values up to are 103 expected. The high temperatures paired with oppressive humidity may cause heat-related illness. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Grab a healthy meal this month! We have two organizations in our community who serve lunch daily that are packed with nutrition! 🍓🥗🍗

LCOC- Hamlin, Ranger, and Harts. If 60 years or older they just ask for a donation towards your meal, anyone in the community under age 60 can purchase a meal for $7!

Lincoln Primary- Hamlin. Anyone age 55 and older they just ask for a donation towards your meal, anyone in the community under age 55 can purchase a meal for $3!

We want to bring awareness to period poverty, when someone doesn’t have reliable access to menstrual products because of financial or other barriers. Period products are a necessity, not a luxury, and no one should have to miss school, work, activities, or other important parts of life because they can’t afford the products they need.

Join the Lincoln County Health Department for a non judgmental, educational session where we’ll share information, tips, resources, and ways we can help break the stigma surrounding menstrual health. This is for women age 18+

AND participants will receive a FREE menstrual cup to take home!

It might still be August, but y’all know how West Virginia weather loves to sneak up on us. It’s never too early to start getting our homes ready for the colder months coming our way. ❄️🏡

Join us on September 1st at 11 AM or 5:30 PM for our Weatherproofing Workshop at the Step By Step Family Support Center in Hamlin.

We’ll cover simple, low‑cost ways to keep the cold out, save on your utility bills, and make your home more comfortable this winter — and 5 families will go home with a weatherproofing kit.

Kids are welcome, and we’ll have activities ready for them too.

Let’s roll up our sleeves and get prepared together. ❤️

The mobile food pantry will be set up on September 10th at the Harts Community Center from 11am-12pm!
