Our new self-paced online course for Foster Caregivers explores the cultural significance of African American hair while providing practical guidance on hair types, healthy hair care techniques, and the meaning behind historical and contemporary hairstyles. Caregivers will also learn how to support positive identity development by encouraging self-acceptance and pride in natural hair.

Our self-paced Infant and Toddler Development course explores developmental milestones from birth to age two while helping participants recognize early warning signs of delays, disabilities, and attachment concerns. You'll also learn about the lasting effects of early abuse and neglect, common childhood conditions, potty-training readiness, and practical ways to help infants and toddlers thrive.

Every child deserves a safe and supportive environment, and mandated reporters play a vital role in making that possible.

The Mandatory Reporter online course equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect, understand their legal responsibilities, and respond appropriately when concerns arise. Participants will also learn how to make a report to DCFS, support a child who discloses abuse or neglect, and identify children who may be at greater risk.

A healing Lifebook is much, much more than a photo album. It provides an opportunity for a child to give context to their life by understanding their roots and how they came into the child welfare system.
