Congrats to the Sumner High School Class of 2026.
All of our kids were great this year, and this was a very polite class as well. Good job to Tangi Parents for teaching their kids manners! It was something that stood out to me this year.
About half of the Sumner Class of ‘26 qualified for TOPS or TOPS Tech, which means they will receive free tuition to a 4 year University or Tech School. One young man opted to join the Air Force, and coincidentally also performed the National Anthem on the electric guitar. It was a great rendition.
One 600k in Scholarships were handed out to this crew.
CONGRATS to all of our Tangi Graduates!!!! I am honored to have been a small part of the ceremonies this year.

Congrats to Ponchatoula High School Class of 2026!!
This is Tangipahoa’s largest high school and had a huge class of over 400 students. The University Center was packed with proud parents. The students gave the parents a standing ovation when the parents stood to be recognized.
$10 MILLION in Scholarships.
11 students joining the military.
Countless Dual Enrollment college credits.
Approx 30 students with 4.0 or greater.
Hundreds of Scholarships accepted by this group.
They are ready to take on the world and be our future leaders.

This is a great group of young men and women. When asked to stand if they received a career credential while at Kentwood High, every single student stood up!
100% participation… these guys are ready to take on the world.

The PHS Leaders hosted an Apprecaieation Brunch for the School Board Members today. They prepared a meal, had some members of the choir perform, and gave us some great gifts made by PHS Students and homemade Wave cookies made by our Principal.

I’d like to brag on their cooking skills, singing skills, and their apparel that they shared with us. Couldn’t be more thankful!!

The Balanced Calandar option is being considered, NOT necessarily implemented. Please call, text, or email your board member to let them know your thoughts. Personally, I plan to vote the way the majority of my constituents ask me too. I am impartial as a parent of students in the system and as a Board Member. I want to honor the choices of the majority of our staff, students, and community. I dont hate the idea of it, but im also not completely sold on it.
