Planning to light fireworks this Fourth of July?🎆

Make safety part of the celebration with these important tips:
🧒🏽 Never let young kids handle fireworks or sparklers.
❌ Don’t use fireworks under the influence.
🏘️ Only use them outdoors, away from people and buildings.
🧨 Light one at a time—then back away quickly.
💦 Keep water or a fire extinguisher nearby.
🚮 Soak used fireworks in water before throwing them out.

Approximately 10:12pm, HRFD was dispatched for a trash fire, upon arrival, 265 found a large pallet fire well involved with fire. 265 (Engine 61)then called for assistance. 266(tanker), 275(Engine 62) and Hammond Fire Dept responded to help get the fire under control. We encourage people when you burn, please do not leave unattended. Always watch the fire while it is burning. No injuries were reported. As always, thank you for your support!!
