Due to high mosquito counts, an aerial treatment has been scheduled for approximately 8:30 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, June 9th, weather permitting.

Ponchatoula Area Recreation and Chappapeela Parks will be included in the treatment area.

We have not detected any West Nile Virus-positive mosquito samples in our latest testing. Environmental factors can cause mosquito populations to multiply, thus increasing the chance of WNV.

Despite recent rainfall increasing mosquito populations, we have not detected any West Nile Virus-positive mosquito samples in our latest round of testing!

Remember to dump & drain any standing water on your property. Defend yourself by using insect repellent and wearing long sleeves when outdoors during peak mosquito hours.

Due to high mosquito counts, an aerial treatment has been scheduled for approximately 8:30 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, May 28th weather permitting. This is a very tentative flight due to weather. We will update if it will be postponed.

We have not detected any West Nile Virus-positive mosquito samples in our latest testing. Increased rainfall can increase the risk of WNV.

Did you know that a female mosquito can lay eggs in just 1/4th of an inch of water? Please remember to dump any standing water on your property to prevent mosquito breeding and use basic mosquito defense methods.
