Oh man! To all my friends and family in Florida, PLEASE don’t be heroes! LEAVE!! Listen when they say to evacuate! Your stuff can be replaced! Please trust me, doing search and rescue after a hurricane is horrible, but not as bad as recovery…. Please don’t make someone “recover” you. That s**t stays with them forever. Ask me how I knew!

Milton was expected to to become a hurricane late Sunday, with "steady and rapid strengthening" forecast over the next few days.

If anyone has seen a post on Downtown Hammonton Events advertising that this organization, "Operation Veterans: Chili Challenge" is hosting an event at the American Legion Post 186, in Hammonton, New Jersey, on 17 September, 2016, that information is WRONG.

The organization, Homeless Veterans Chill Challenge, is hosting that event on that day, not us!
