The NJ State Park Police PBA #222 is proud to take part in the Polar Bear Plunge, and we’re asking our friends, families, and community to help us make an impact!

This event isn’t just about braving the cold—it’s about coming together for a great cause and continuing our commitment to service, both in uniform and beyond it. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps support the mission and charitable efforts tied to this event.

If you’re able to contribute or help spread the word, we’d truly appreciate it. Your support means everything to us and reminds us why we’re proud to serve this community.

Thank you for standing with the NJ State Park Police—on the warm days and the freezing ones! 💙❄️

Your DEP would like to welcome Ed Potosnak as he begins his service as Governor Mikie Sherrill's Acting Commissioner of Environmental Protection.

In announcing his appointment, Governor Sherrill celebrated the Acting Commissioner as a "proven leader, policy expert, and licensed contractor who will be critical in our efforts to protect residents from flooding and extreme weather, remediate contaminated sites, and cut through red tape to reduce permitting times."

We look forward to Acting Commissioner Potosnak's leadership as we continue our mission of protecting public health and the environment!

Nineteen years ago today the senseless murder of rookie Paterson Officer Tyron Franklin led to the creation of the NJ COP SHOT REWARD PROGRAM. Then NJ State PBA President Tony Wieners vowed that anyone who attacked a NJ Police officer from that day forward would have a $10,000 bounty on their head. (The reward has since been updated to $20,000).

Since NJ COP SHOT started, 3 cop killers and 6 aggravated assault suspects have been captured.

Officer Franklin life made an impact on all those he worked with. His legacy lives on with every capture and conviction of those who attack law enforcement.
