🚒🔥 Hampstead Juniors Attend Fire Service Day at the Fire Museum of Maryland 🔥🚒

Today, members of the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company Junior Program spent the day at the Fire Museum of Maryland participating in Fire Service Day!

Our Juniors had the opportunity to explore the history of the fire service, view historic apparatus, and learn how the fire service has evolved over the years. Events like this help connect our young members with the traditions, values, and dedication that have shaped the fire service for generations.

We are proud of our Juniors for taking advantage of opportunities to learn, grow, and expand their knowledge of emergency services. The future of the fire service is bright with young people like these leading the way!

Thank you to the Fire Museum of Maryland for hosting another outstanding event and helping inspire the next generation of firefighters and EMS providers.

🚫🔥 ANNUAL BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥🚫

The Maryland Open-Air Burn Ban is now in effect in Carroll County from June 1 through August 31, 2026.

During this period, the open burning of brush, leaves, yard debris, and other combustible materials is prohibited to help reduce air pollution and protect public health during the summer months.

✅ Allowed:
• Small recreational campfires
• Cooking fires
• Charcoal grills
• Gas grills

❌ Not Allowed:
• Brush and yard debris burning
• Leaf burning
• Tree trimmings
• Household trash
• Construction debris

Remember: The annual burn ban is based on air quality regulations and remains in effect regardless of recent rainfall.

Violations may result in fines and other enforcement actions.

Before you burn, know the rules. When in doubt, don't burn.
