The Hastings family will host a Celebration of Life in memory of Chip Hastings on May 9th from 1-3 pm at Hadley Hall, Hampstead Congregational Church. Please come by to share your memories and favorite 'Chipism'!

The Hampstead Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of retired Fire Chief Walter "Chip" Hastings. Chip joined the department in 1967 along with his wife Susan and together they served for over 42 years. Chip served for 30 years as Chief of Department. He will be remembered fondly by the generations of firefighters he mentored in service to the community. Our thoughts are with his family.
Details of the funeral arrangements will be announced.

We currently have a visitor at the station. Does anyone recognize this adorable boy? If so please contact the Fire Station at 603-329-6006 so we can reunite him with his owner. We have let animal control know about him as well.

This has been a difficult time for some Hampstead residents. We had another fire this past weekend in town. Please read the press release regarding the fire on Saturday night below. There will be posts on the Town page with ways to help these families if you're interested.

As many of you may know there was a barn fire on Main Street in Hampstead last night. Hampstead, Fire-Rescue & Emergency Management and surrounding towns responded. Please read the Press Release below from Chief Kramlinger.

The forecast is calling for low temperatures again this weekend. The Town of Hampstead and The Hampstead, NH Fire-Rescue & Emergency Management Department would like to be sure you are warm and safe.

Saturday: Snow, mainly before 5pm. High near 26. North wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 15. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph

For anyone who needs a warming location - Hampstead Public Library hours are as follows:

Friday: 9A -5P
Saturday: 9A -3P
Sunday: Closed - Call Fire Station if Needed

If in need of an emergency warming shelter, please call the fire station at 603-329-6006 and ask to have the message passed to the Shelter Manager.

As always, if you are experiencing an emergency please dial 911.
