Yesterday, I lost my temper on a ‘fight’ call and behaved unprofessionally

I want to apologize to anyone who witnessed it—**especially** any kids who saw it

Help Sara Parker-Metz!, organized by Tyler Patterson

Sara is on of our dedicated dispatchers and is having some medical issues. She was working when Chief Terry was killed and did an outstanding job taking care of us that day. If you would like to help Sara and her family please donate. Anything will help.

Just got off the phone with the Sheriff.

Seems people have been telling him that I have been telling people that he sought out the contract with Hampton.

In the interest of transparency and rumor control: That's NOT what I have ever said, but if that's what others have heard, let me be CLEAR:

President Bornhoeft stated publicly that HE reached out to East Moline PD and County… ONLY as a contingency plan.

That's It. That's all.

Tonight at the Village Board meeting I was able to honor two of the most outstanding officers that I am so very proud and blessed to work with.
Officer Tyler Patterson and Officer Bryce Frenell received commendation awards for their courage. Both officers on two separate occasion arrested and detained armed, dangerous criminals using their officer safety skill, knowledge and experience. Their dedication to serve and protect is what makes the Village of Hampton a safe community. Thank you for all you do Tyler and Bryce.

Again: Early this morning, unlocked cars were entered, rummaged through; cash and incidentals were stolen.

Again: Lock you cars.

Lock them.

Please.

05/26/2021

VERY preliminary information:

Overnight, several unlocked cars in the Hampton Woods and Downtown neighborhoods were entered by at least two unknown suspects, approx. 3:00am forward

They attempted to enter one home, but were frightened away by the homeowner

Please review any security video and contact HPD if you see any one or a vehicle out at that time

And please—lock your cars

When someone needs an extra hand you can count on people in our community ready and willing to help.
The property belongs to someone very special. The gentleman that lived here volunteered his time at special events, made children smile, yes adults too with a HOHO at Christmas time. Sadly he passed away early this week. We hope we made him smile in heaven.
" A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED!"
Village President Chris Bornhoeft; Matt Winquist Associate Pastor and volunteers from Wildwood Church; Hampton Police Department along with some of their family members; Hampton Fire Department and a neighbor.

Many hands made a difference today! Enjoy the before and after pictures.....

The fliers are not, and should not be considered, official Village communications or correspondence. Any and all persons responsible for the creation and/or distribution of such materials are advised to cease such activity immediately.
