The Faith in Housing bill (SB388 / HB1279) is now on the desk of Governor Spanberger, with a decision deadline of April 13 at midnight. Opponents are pushing hard to water it down or veto it outright.

We need to show that Virginians want this bill signed in its strongest form.

This legislation unlocks land owned by faith communities and nonprofits so it can be used to build affordable homes - helping teachers, first responders, healthcare workers, and seniors stay in the communities they serve.

Take 2 minutes to send an email to the Governor and your state legislators.

We’ve drafted a message for you, but personalizing it - especially with why housing affordability matters to you - makes it even more powerful.

The bottom line: This is a real, near-term opportunity to create more homes across Virginia. But only if we protect the bill from being weakened at the finish line.

is right. If we’re going to reduce the price of housing, then we need to built more housing. He and others are working hard in in the Virginia General Assembly to reduce the price of housing by legalizing housing options and opening up opportunities for small time home builders to increase housing supply.

Today is . Parking lots should be full all over town. But drive around, what do you see? Half empty lots like usual.

It is long overdue for all cities in the #757 to get rid of parking minimums. They ruin cities, and take up space that could be used for housing. Joint to learn more! #757
