Happy Juneteenth from Hampton County Government!
Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, hope, and the enduring strength of those who came before us. It is a time to reflect on our shared history, recognize the progress that has been made, and continue working toward a future built on unity, understanding, and opportunity for all.
As we celebrate this important day, may we remember that freedom is not only something to be remembered, but something to be cherished, protected, and extended through kindness, service, and love for one another.
Please be advised that Hampton County Government offices are closed today, Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Offices will reopen on Monday, June 22, during normal business hours.
From all of us at Hampton County Government, we wish you and your family a safe, meaningful, and joyful Juneteenth. May we continue to honor the past, embrace one another in the present, and move forward together with hope.
