Got the chance to talk with a Damage Controlman about what it’s like being in that role in the Navy.

This job is all about damage control and firefighting. Maintaining life-saving equipment, responding to emergencies, and making sure the ship and crew stay safe when it matters most.

It’s hands-on, high responsibility, and requires strong teamwork and focus, especially in high-pressure situations.

Like a lot of Navy jobs, it can come with long hours, but it also builds real experience and skills that can carry over into the civilian world, especially in firefighting.

You also get the chance to travel, work with different teams, and gain experience that goes beyond the job itself.

If you’re looking for something with purpose and real responsibility, this is definitely one to learn more about.

If you’re curious about this path, talk to a recruiter and see what your options are.

Navy Steelworkers don't sit in a classroom. They learn by doing.
Cutting, welding, rigging, fabricating, these are skills that take years to master, and the Navy Seabees are one of the few places in the world where you can earn them at 18, get paid to do it, and come out the other side with a career-ready skillset that translates directly into the civilian construction industry.

No student debt. No unpaid internships. Real experience from day one.

We want to know, did you choose trade school or college? Which path did you take, and would you change anything? Drop your answer below. 👇

If you want to earn a trade and serve your country at the same time, talk to your favorite recruiter about the Seabee program.

As a new Navy Scout, I am committed to shaping the future of the Navy. Welcome aboard, Savannah! As I got to know her, I have noticed she is going to achieve remarkable things in the Navy. She graduated from high school 6 months early, demonstrating her determination and ambition. She works part-time at Food Lion to support herself and gain work experience. Her strong motivation and work ethic drive her to pursue more opportunities. I am excited to see all the great accomplishments she will achieve once she completes boot camp and joins the fleet, contributing her skills and dedication..

Sparks flying at midnight. Steel in your hands. A structure going up where there was nothing before.

Navy Steelworkers (SWs) are part of the legendary Navy Seabees, the construction force that builds, repairs, and supports military infrastructure around the world. They weld, cut, and fabricate structural steel in combat zones, disaster areas, and deployed locations most people will never see on a map.

This is skilled trades work at the highest level, with a military paycheck, full benefits, education funding, and a career that follows you into the civilian world.

Could you work with your hands for a living? Drop your answer below, trade workers and veterans especially, we want to hear from you. 👇

Talk to your favorite recruiter to learn more about the SW rating and current enlistment bonuses.

Had a chance to link up with a Seabee steelworker and get a real look at what that job is like.

Seabees do things a little differently. It’s hands-on work, learning multiple construction skills, and getting experience that can carry over into the civilian world like welding or project management.

He also talked about the lifestyle. Traveling, working in different places, and picking up skills along the way. Definitely a different side of Navy life than what most people expect.

Not every path looks the same, and this one stands out.

Every dot on that screen is a real aircraft. A real pilot. A real mission.
Navy Air Traffic Controllers don't just sit behind a screen, they are the voice that keeps everything moving safely. They work aboard ships, at air stations, and in some of the most high-tech environments the military has to offer.

The AC rating is one of the few Navy jobs that translates directly into a civilian career. FAA certification pathways, real-world experience, and a skillset that employers compete for.

So we want to know, if you could start over and pick any job in the world, what would it be? Drop it in the comments. We're curious. 👇
And if "Navy Air Traffic Controller" is on your list, DM us. Let's make it happen.

Most people have never seen a room like this.
Navy Air Traffic Controllers (ACs) manage the movement of aircraft in some of the most complex airspace in the world, from carrier flight decks to busy military air stations. They track multiple contacts at once, communicate with pilots in real time, and make split-second decisions where mistakes are not an option.

This is not a desk job. This is one of the most mentally demanding ratings in the entire Navy, and it comes with real career benefits, including enlistment bonuses for qualified applicants.

Could you handle that kind of pressure? Drop YES or NO in the comments, we read every single one. 👇
If you want to know more about the AC rating, DM us or talk to your favorite recruiter.

Back again and today I got the chance to talk with AC Corey Lee about what it’s like being an Air Traffic Controller in the Navy.

He broke it down in a simple way. Making sure aircraft get where they need to go safely, whether that’s on land or out at sea. It’s a job that takes focus, training, and confidence.

Like he said, it can feel stressful at first because you’re responsible for real people, but once you learn the system and get comfortable, it starts to feel natural.

What stood out to me is how this job can also open doors on the outside, especially with opportunities like air traffic control in the civilian world.

If you’re looking for something challenging that builds real skills and responsibility, this is definitely one to learn more about.

If you’re curious about this path, talk to a recruiter and see what your options are.

The Navy does not just give you a job. It gives you a crew.

That is one of the things people don't expect when they join. You show up as a stranger and you leave with people who genuinely have your back. People who push you, challenge you, and show up when it counts.

Your future crew is already out there. They are training right now, waiting to meet someone exactly like you.

So who do you want to serve with? Drop it in the comments, tell us what kind of team you are looking for. 👇

If you are between 17 and 40 and want to find your people, DM us or talk to your favorite recruiter. The conversation is free and there is zero pressure.
