ETHOS is seeking full time QMHP-C's

This is a full time position for a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C) at the ETHOS Leadership Group, an community based mental health organization which motivates and encourages our clients to achieve overall mental wellness and social functioning. The QMHP-C works as part of a patient care team that includes a LMHP, QMHP-C, peer QMHP-C along with youth and their families. The QMHP-C reports first to the LMHP and ED of the organization. Salary is commensurate with experience and preparation.

KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrates understanding of initial assessments to aide in translating to individual service plan.
Facilitates and coordinates the implementation of mental health programming, including all aspects of mental health service delivery.
Understands the process of mentoring youth and families who are in crisis.

SKILLS:

Ability to function as a team member to promote the values of the organization.
Ability to respond to and manage a client mental health crisis.
Demonstrates commitment to promoting overall mental wellness for individuals and families experiencing distress.
Utilizes supportive therapeutic treatment programs, which offer high quality, engaging, innovative and evidenced based mental health interventions.
Facilitates and coordinates the implementation of mental health programming, including all aspects of mental health service delivery. Completes and maintains documentation of service care delivery.
Possesses empathetic skills needed to engage with individuals and families in a variety of environments, which promote communication and the attainment of positive life outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in providing care, which is centered on a biopsychosocial approach.
Demonstrated ability to care for individuals and families clients across the life span.
Demonstrated excellence in mentoring colleagues and individuals of the multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated ability to engage and meet client needs at their level of need.
Possesses skills needed to engage in a diverse environment and demonstrates the desire to foster individual and family growth and well-being.

ABILITIES:

Functions as part of a diagnostic team to implement the biopsychosocial plan of care for clients to include development and evaluation of individual service plans
Analyzes the effectiveness of mental health programming and individual service plans.
Contributes to the design and implementation of mental health programming including the ability to promote client education, while engaging clients in increasing their empowerment quotient.
Demonstrates understanding of initial assessments to aide in translating to individual serve plan within 24 hours of initial assessment being conducted.
Mentors youth and families in carrying out the tailored service plan to empower clients and raise empowerment quotient level.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated excellence in working effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in a human services field or special education from an accredited college or university (without at least one year of clinical experience working with youth.
Must have a valid Virginia Drivers License and possess a vehicle that can be used for work purposes; and no substantiated findings on the criminal history or central registry background check.
