Chief of Police Terry Engle was killed in a single-vehicle crash while responding to a 911 call at 6:45 pm.

Great ice water rescue training last night with a neighboring department! Carbon-Cliff, Barstow, and Hampton previously partnered on a grant to purchase water rescue suits, as both departments have the Mississippi River and the Rock River in our jurisdictions, respectively.

Training together helps us work better as a team in the unfortunate event we are ever called upon to use these skills.

We are very thankful and appreciative of the Compeer Financial grant, which helped us purchase rescue suits so we can train safely and be prepared when it matters most.

Watch for Santa this Sunday, December 14th! He will be riding around Hampton in the Fire Truck beginning at Noon. Meet him at the Heritage Center for candy canes and a pic from 1:30-2pm!
