On average there are 2-3 views on Calhoun County Dream per day but only a few comments and no one has stepped forward to spearhead this wonderful and much needed activity for Calhoun County.

I am happy many are interested in the Calhoun County Dream. I am hoping someone will spearhead this. It would be absolutely wonderful for the County and I hope someone will take up the fight. You will see on the maps on the page that we have a critical water problem that must be addressed. On the Dream timeline you have to click a long way down to see minutes of meetings, members, maps etc,

Lake project back in motion since temporarily postponed for Hogskin Holidays and other holidays. Chairperson, Frankie Wallingsford Sarver will meet with Hampton City Council today. Site visits from EPA and Corps of Engineer will be set as soon as possible

Designated Critical Ground Water Designations Map. Critical counties in red.

The maps and charts show the critical ground water designations by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. Counties in red including Calhoun are designated as critical water shortage areas. A topo map shows the Moro Creek potential lake and reservoir site location and the chart shows Calhoun County rapidly depleting Sparta aquifer and severe water level declines and water quality degradation including increasing saline in water supply.
