TASC Rides - Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens

TASC Rides - Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens Connecting Seacoast Communities with free, volunteer-driven rides, TASC Rides helps older and disabled individuals stay independent.

We provide essential transportation to medical appointments, shopping, + more. Volunteer, donate, or request a ride today! TASC is a fantastic volunteer opportunity for busy people who think they don't have enough time to volunteer! Volunteer drivers decide how often they are going to drive---once a week, once a month, once in a blue moon! All ride requests & scheduling are handled by the TASC office. Send a message & we'll e-mail the volunteer driver information!

June 2 - Age Without Apology Month

At TASC Rides, we spend a lot of time talking about independence,
mobility, and staying connected to the community.

None of those things have an expiration date.

Getting older is not something to "fight." It's something people experience differently, with different needs, routines, and priorities.

For some riders, that means getting to physical therapy in Greenland.
For others, it means grocery shopping in Exeter, a haircut in Seabrook, or meeting a friend for coffee after an appointment.

Transportation helps people continue making their own decisions and participating in daily life.

National Say Something Nice Day

Sometimes the nicest thing we can say is simple:
"We found you a ride."

For older adults in North Hampton, Seabrook, Rye, and surrounding communities, transportation can affect whether errands get done, appointments happen, or someone feels comfortable making plans at all.
TASC Rides volunteer drivers help make those trips possible when schedules and availability line up.

May 31 • National Smile Day

There’s a difference between hoping a ride will work out and knowing it’s scheduled.

That confirmation changes how someone plans their day.

One less thing to figure out. That’s something to smile about.

May 29 • Mount Everest Day

Getting to an appointment can feel harder than climbing a mountain when you don’t drive.

What looks like a short trip on a map can turn into something that doesn’t happen at all without a ride.

That’s where we come in when we can.

TASC Rides matches people who need transportation with volunteer drivers based on availability. And with the right support, that mountain starts to feel a lot more manageable.

Not everyone needs TASC Rides.

But when driving isn’t an option and appointments start getting harder to manage, it can make a difference.

May 25 • Memorial Day

We’re taking a moment to recognize Memorial Day.

Many of the people we engage with, both riders and volunteers, are veterans.

We appreciate those who gave their lives in service, and we recognize the families who carry that with them.

You don’t have to take every ride.

You can stick to certain towns, choose shorter trips, or only drive on specific days.

It’s meant to fit your schedule, not take it over.

May 21 • Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day

Getting to the grocery store isn’t always simple when you don’t drive.

May Lin told us her husband was still driving well into his 90s. She swears it’s because he always ate his fruits and vegetables.

Then she laughed and said she gave up driving before she gave up chocolate.

Being able to get to the store for fruits, vegetables, AND chocolate is part of staying independent, not just getting to appointments.
