Promote and maintain a safe beach through presence and direct action. OVERVIEW

A variety of situations arise on Hampton Beach during the summer.

The NH State Beach Patrol (Hampton Beach Lifeguards) is an organization whose purpose is to provide rescue and beach safety services to visitors of New Hampshire's State Beaches. TENENTS

Execute proactive and reactive situational responses;
Perform ocean rescues;
Provide first aid and CPR;
Help locate and reunite missing or lost children to their families;
Enforce park regulations, address m

atters of public interest, and protect park resources;
Maintain a high level of preparedness through in-service training consisting of; Physical fitness training, mock rescues, and practice of emergency scenarios/procedures. Hampton lifeguards are trained to be versatile, and always do their best to deal with situations effectively to maintain a safe beach for all who visit Hampton's pristine shoreline.

With lifeguards heading back to school our staff is starting to shrink. For the remainder of the season there will no longer be guards at North Hampton State Park and North Beach. Coverage will continue at: Hampton Beach 9am-530pm, Jenness State Park 10:15am-445pm, and Wallis Sands 10am-5pm. Remember always swim near a lifeguard.

We are beyond excited to announce that this summer we will be starting our Junior Lifeguard Program. It will run from July 8th to August 5th on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. 15 sessions in total. There will be a cost of $150, sign ups will go live shortly, email Chief Murphy at [email protected] to be placed on the list.
