and Gold Star Families commemorated the Fallen who gave their lives in service to our country with a heartfelt wreath laying ceremony at Fort Eustis, which featured touching remarks and live performance.

The wreath laying ceremony is a longstanding tradition showing a formal act of respect and remembrance in honor of those who have made these unforgotten sacrifices.

Recently, hosted Virginia Peninsula Chamber’s the “State of the Military”, a bi-annual event for leadership and local partners to highlight mission impact and opportunities the military brings to the peninsula!

Discussions included military spouse employment, affordable childcare, and careers for veterans following service; among others!

🚨Memorial Day Holiday Gate Hours🚨

Attention everyone! Please note the following gate hours for the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday period:

Langley Gate Hours:

LaSalle Gate and Armistead Gate will maintain normal operating hours throughout the Memorial Day holiday period.

King Street Gate and Durand Gate will be CLOSED Friday, May 22, and REOPEN 0600, Tuesday, May 26.

The Visitor Control Center will be CLOSED Friday, May 22, and Monday, May 25. During the VCC closures: all visitors MUST check in using the far-right lane at LaSalle Gate.

The Commercial Vehicle Inspection Site (CVIS) will be CLOSED starting Friday, May 22, and REOPEN 0600, Tuesday, May 26. Large Commercial vehicles will be inspected at the LaSalle Gate during the closures.

Fort Eustis Gate Hours:

Main Gate (Fort Eustis Blvd.) will remain open 24/7.

Back Gate (Shellabarger Rd.) will be CLOSED Monday, May 25.

The Fort Eustis Visitor Control Center will be CLOSED Monday, May 25. During the VCC closures: all visitors MUST check in using the far-right lane at the Fort Eustis Main Gate.

🏥 AFMS Langley 633 MDG laboratory technicians perform multiple practices including patient testing and analysis in support of medical readiness and emergency medical operations.

Celebrating service and community, the Norfolk Tides hosted their annual Armed Forces Night baseball game, which featured several members of , including the base leadership and, of course, ’s mascot himself: JB!

The event is a grand slam reminder to the Hampton Roads region of the link uniting the military and civilian population here!
