Exciting news for Hampton! 🎉 Yesterday morning, U.S. Rep. Bobby Scott visited our city to present a ceremonial check for $850,000 to the Hampton Therapeutic Recreation Center. This incredible federal funding, championed by Rep. Scott, will help expand the center’s programs and services for residents of all ages with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities. 🤝💙

The grant is part of more than $13 million in federal funding Rep. Scott has secured for community projects in the 3rd Congressional District. We’re grateful for his continued support of Hampton and our community’s well-being! 🙏🏽🏙️

🇺🇸 In observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, several facilities operated by the City of Hampton’s Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services Department will be closed, while many parks and outdoor amenities will remain open with regular hours.

As we enjoy the holiday weekend, we also pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. ❤️🤍💙

🎉 What a fantastic crowd at the Hampton Senior Center Ribbon Cutting! Thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate the incredible renovations that have transformed our center. 🏢✨ The upgrades include brand new windows and doors, enhanced security cameras, energy-efficient LED lighting, and a refreshed interior with updated ceilings, floors, and furniture.

We’re especially excited about the new athletic room, which expands recreational opportunities for our seniors, and the improved layout that makes getting around even easier.

A huge thank you to everyone whose teamwork and dedication made these improvements possible. This project was truly a collaborative effort between the City of Hampton and our local partners, and it wouldn’t have happened without the support of so many in our community. The Hampton Senior Center has never looked better! 🎈
