Join us for the 6th annual Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat at Hanceville Fire Station #1 on Halloween afternoon 2026.

Please enter between Luna’s BBQ and Cullman Savings Bank, then turn onto Collins Ave to arrive at the fire station. Drive thru and allow your children to get candy from our Firefighters/EMTs. Exit by driving around the fire station, onto Fire Station Drive, and then back to Main Street. , City of Hanceville Alabama, Living in Cullman, ,

Around Midnight on October 5, 2026, Hanceville Fire & Rescue was called to 1003 Main Street Hanceville NW for a vehicle fire. When fire crews arrived, they confirmed an active vehicle fire and that the fire had extended to part of the structure of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the vehicle fire. Unfortunately, the fire spread quickly to the attic area and into the main structure of the church. The fire is currently under investigation by the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Thank you to the following fire departments for their assistance on this fire: Garden City, Walter, Berlin, Good Hope, Johnson’s Crossing, and the City of Cullman. Thank you to the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office for traffic control.

DECATUR POST – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:42 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, has caused a road closure. All lanes of U.S. 31 near Cullman County 616 in Cullman County are currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are on the scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
