Welcome to the Oak House Store.

Here is a preview of our in-home store. Majority of our store is stocked by donated cans that we get from our community.

The residents and our staff have been working hard on returning the recent load of cans that we received; So we could upgrade our store.

We were looking for an additional way to practice money management, shopping, and budgeting. Typically we take them in the community to do their shopping but we found this to be a great form of money enrichment.

We are very thankful for each donation. Because of these donations we are able to provide a learning environment for our group. The residents earn Oak House dollars by completing their daily tasks, giving a helping hand, and drinking water (few examples) . At the end of the week they go shopping with the money that they have earned. The store allows us the opportunity to give our residents a “real life” 1 on 1 learning experience with fewer distractions.

Please feel free to message us if you have cans that you’d like to donate. We can arrange pick up.

We are also willing to take other donations such as room decor, clothing, arts and crafts, and personal hygiene items.

Hello Friends and family!

We are in the process of upgrading our ”Oak House Store”.

We are very fortunate for the amount of support we receive throughout our community.

We use the in-home store as a learning program for our residents to practice skills in order to shop on their own some day. We teach budgeting, money handling, adding items together to get a total, and self check out.

We Typically stock the store with the money we get from donated cans. Items from snacks to clothes, seasonal items, room decor and arts/crafts. If you have things lying around your home that you don’t have use for or items you may want to part with; We ask that you consider donating to Oak House.

If you’d like to know more or have any questions please feel free to reach out. Thank you again for all the support you’ve shown. We are a blessed home!

It’s that time everyone, spring is here! ☀️

Now that the snow is melting, it’s time for a can donation request! If you have bags of empties that you have laying around and would like gone, we would be happy to take them off your hands! The money will go towards our programming. Our programming is used to help our residents gain independence in the community. You can contact one of our staff at (906)370-8893 or call Oak House at (906)482-4231 to arrange a pick up time. We appreciate all of you and hope you are having an amazing start to your spring!
