Job Posting: Entry Level Police Officer
The Lower Alloways Creek Police Department is looking for motivated individuals who are ready to serve their community and begin a career in law enforcement.
Interested applicants are encouraged drop off a résumé and pick up an application at the police department. Applications and résumés shall be directed to Chief Richard West.
Applications can also be found at www.lowerallowayscreek-nj.gov under the police department tab.
Applications must be submitted to the department by 4:00pm on September 11, 2026. Applications must be filled out in black or blue ink.
Basic Eligibility Standards:
Age: The New Jersey Police Training Commission requires an individual be at least 18 years of age and no more than 35 years of age (N.J.S.A 43:16A-3(1)).
Citizenship and Residency: All applicants must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of New Jersey.
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED Certificate.
Driver’s License: Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Other Police Training Standards will apply.
Hiring Process:
Applicants will need to pass an interview, physical fitness test, extensive background investigation, psychological examination and medical examination.
