Local groundwater decisions work best when they are based on local information.

Parcel claiming, well registration, stakeholder meetings, and regular updates all help Mid-Kings River GSA build a clearer picture of what is happening on the ground.

That local information supports better planning, communication, and groundwater management here at home.

A GSA does more than hold meetings.

Mid-Kings River GSA helps coordinate the ongoing work needed for local groundwater management, including:

*Planning for groundwater sustainability
*Collecting and organizing local information
*Communicating with stakeholders
*Supporting tools like Watermark
*Preparing for allocation implementation
*Planning for well mitigation
*Completing required SGMA reporting

Local participation matters.

When stakeholders claim parcels, register wells, attend meetings, read updates, and ask questions, they help build a stronger local picture of what is happening on the ground.

A Groundwater Sustainability Agency, or GSA, is the local agency responsible for helping manage groundwater under SGMA.

For the Mid-Kings River area, MKR GSA is responsible for local planning, stakeholder communication, public meetings, groundwater data, policy implementation, and required SGMA reporting.

The goal is to keep groundwater management aligned with local land, wells, conditions, and stakeholders.
