Today 3 of our members were recognized in a collective effort ceremony for a recent Cardiac Arrest Save. Back in December, our agency was dispatched to a call within our district in conjunction with Town of Hancock Ambulance, Sullivan County EMS, and Hancock Fire Department. During the response, our members were updated that the call was upgraded to a Cardiac Arrest and CPR Instructions were being provided by Delaware County 911 Dipatchers. Multiple members from multiple agencies arrived on scene and continued with resuscitation efforts, ultimately leading to the patient regaining pulses. The patient was transported to an area hospital where they were than transported to another hospital for further treatment. And now is discharged from the hospital and recovering. All of which is a testament to the job and services we as EMS provide. And we are grateful that we were able to play a part in the Chain of Survival for this great success story.
CPR Training definitely played the biggest role in this story along with first response AEDs and collaborative responses from multiple agencies.
If you’d like to become trained in CPR or become part of our team. Please reach out to a member or stop at our station any Monday night after 7pm
