Tonight our agency handled an MCI within our district. A huge thank you to our members for responding. And a huge thank you to Bethel EMS and Sullivan County EMS for the assistance with 35-01, 35-80, 52-63 to the scene to safely transport all injured parties. And 35-82 for initially responding to our scene but being diverted to another call in our district with the assistance of 52-63 who ended up being not needed on our initial scene.

It truly takes a village, and couldn’t be done without everyone’s help.

Rare sight, tonight we were able to staff both ambulances for a call in our district. A huge thank you to the members who responded to ensure our call and district were covered.

Another high thank you to Cochecton Ambulance for crewing up a standby crew in the event more resources were needed. And thank you Bethel 35-1 for offering your assistance as well.

Takes a community for sure

Today 3 of our members were recognized in a collective effort ceremony for a recent Cardiac Arrest Save. Back in December, our agency was dispatched to a call within our district in conjunction with Town of Hancock Ambulance, Sullivan County EMS, and Hancock Fire Department. During the response, our members were updated that the call was upgraded to a Cardiac Arrest and CPR Instructions were being provided by Delaware County 911 Dipatchers. Multiple members from multiple agencies arrived on scene and continued with resuscitation efforts, ultimately leading to the patient regaining pulses. The patient was transported to an area hospital where they were than transported to another hospital for further treatment. And now is discharged from the hospital and recovering. All of which is a testament to the job and services we as EMS provide. And we are grateful that we were able to play a part in the Chain of Survival for this great success story.

CPR Training definitely played the biggest role in this story along with first response AEDs and collaborative responses from multiple agencies.

If you’d like to become trained in CPR or become part of our team. Please reach out to a member or stop at our station any Monday night after 7pm
