𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 — 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. 💙

We’re proud to share the launch of a new 𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘 (𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻) 𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 specifically serving participants in the Marion County Treatment Court.

Through 17 weeks of education, goal-setting, personal development and individualized mentoring, participants are building the skills, confidence and support systems they need to create 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 for themselves.

This partnership brings together the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗧𝘄𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮, 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟴𝟬, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 — all working together to walk alongside participants as they move from surviving to thriving.

Yesterday, at our United Way Campaign Kick-Off, we unveiled our campaign theme for the year: 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘. 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘.

We asked everyone in the room a simple but powerful question:
💭 “Why is it important to LIVE HERE and GIVE HERE?”

Everyone had a reason.
Everyone had something to say.
And everyone wrote theirs down and added it to our bulletin board. 📌

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing some of those answers — the reasons our neighbors, friends, volunteers, donors and community leaders believe in 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘.

💛 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛

For Kim Bunten and her family, su***de prevention isn’t just a cause — 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹.

After Kim’s son attempted su***de shortly after graduating from high school, their family’s life was forever changed. What came from that difficult experience was a powerful commitment to prevention.

Kim’s son made it his mission to bring su***de prevention programming into schools — helping young people understand mental health, recognize warning signs, and feel empowered to have honest, healthy conversations about mental health.

In this 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, Kim shares the reason behind their passion for prevention and why 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

Sometimes, prevention starts with simply being willing to ask, “𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆?”

Sometimes it means noticing a change, listening without judgment, and knowing when to reach out for help.

This September, let’s make space for the conversations that matter. 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵. 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲.

We gathered with leaders from our Community Impact Agencies, individuals whose lives have been transformed because of the work of these incredible organizations, and the generous people who 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗬 to help make our community stronger and better for everyone.

Today was a reminder that when we come together, 𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗔 𝗗𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘. 🙌
