I am asking for your vote this Tuesday. This position is responsible for all administrative duties for the Hannibal highway department. I’ve worked hard since being elected to this position together with the Town superintendent and the Town board we have responsibly maintained the safety of our roads and improved our approach to maintaining and upgrading our equipment, below are a few of the important accomplishments over the past few years
✔️Budget
I have worked within my budget to maintain the safety of our roads while building sustainability a major change I have implemented is to communicate with our town supervisor and our board to not only put forth an accurate budget, but also plan for several years. This is how our budgeting process is proactive instead of reactive , I plan to continue communicating to the board the need to use the budgeted money to keep our equipment updated and our staff trained to operate it
✔️State reimbursements
Our town is eligible for up to four state reimbursements under the highway department I take pride in the fact that I have earned 100% of the reimbursements we have been eligible for. I am responsible for on-time accurate reporting and meticulous planning. Mistakes in this time-consuming process would be detrimental to the town, and would compromise the budget.
✔️Employee management
The Highway Superintendent is responsible for working alongside the union and working with in the union contract. I take pride in the working relationship I have with our union employees and the communication that we maintain as a team to ensure that there is NO unnecessary and costly grievances filed. I plan to continue this partnership and maintain our fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers
