Yesterday we did some ladder training.
There are times when firefighters need to strategically place multiple ground ladders in position to rescue trapped victims or to provide an escape for firefighters in a building. Being efficient in this skill is critical for our community and our firefighters!

🚒🫀 Training today helps save lives tomorrow.

On September 4th, members of Keeneyville School District’s Cardiac Team participated in hands-on CPR training and emergency response practice with Hanover Park Fire Department personnel.

Illinois public school districts are required to maintain a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan, and trainings like these help ensure staff are prepared to respond quickly and confidently in the event of a cardiac emergency. Building administrators, nurses, physical education teachers, and other key staff members worked together to strengthen their lifesaving skills and review emergency response procedures.

We’re proud to partner with local schools to help keep students, staff, and visitors safe. Thank you to everyone who participated and demonstrated their commitment to preparedness! 👏 ❤️🚑

Today we gathered at Station 15 to honor and remember those lives that were lost 25 years ago on September 11, 2001 and the many others impacted from that tragic day. We will never forget.
