We want to hear from you! We will be hosting a series of public input meetings to support the Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2035 process. Share your thoughts on parks, programs, trails, fields, play spaces, and other areas of focus. A meeting will be held in each of the seven magisterial districts, but there is no requirement to attend the meeting in the district in which you reside. Come to one or come to several. Meetings will feature an "open house" style and participants may join at any time.

At last night's meeting, the Board of Supervisors held and closed its public hearing regarding Envision Hanover (Comprehensive Plan Update). The Board is currently considering all comments provided by citizens and will have continued discussion at its meeting on September 27, 2023.

On Wednesday, September 13 at 6 p.m. the Board of Supervisors will hold its public hearing on the proposed 5-year update to the Comprehensive Plan, Envision Hanover.

This plan will be the County’s long-term guide for growth and development as well as the preservation of Hanover’s rural character.

There will be a joint Comprehensive Plan work session between the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission on Wednesday, July 26 at noon.

The meeting will take place in room 150 of the Wickham Building, 7497 County Complex Road.
