We are proud to recognize Troy Hollabaugh, our Hanover Angel of the Month for October 2026!

Troy joined the Hanover office in January 2026 and has been a tremendous asset to our team. He came to Visiting Angels with previous experience providing companionship and skilled care to individuals living with Cerebral Palsy. He has demonstrated compassion, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others which he’s done almost his entire adult life.

Many of our clients know Troy as one of our dependable overnight caregivers. When not working at Giant, he is often stepping in to provide exceptional care and support to our clients. Troy especially enjoys working with our male clients, listening to their stories and learning from their life experiences.

Troy recently completed our PASSAGES dementia training program to better serve clients living with memory loss and dementia.

When asked why he chose Visiting Angels, Troy simply said he wanted to help people. We can confidently say he has exceeded that goal and continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients every day.

Troy earned his degree from HACC and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Penn State University. He is the proud father of three adult sons who live in the Lewisberry area.

When not working, Troy enjoys playing games on his phone, listening to his Bible app, and, of course, catching up on sleep. As Troy says, it's the perfect recipe for staying out of trouble! Troy has a dream of saving enough money to visit
friends and admire the beautiful architecture of Moscow.

DID YOU KNOW? Choosing a home care agency is an important decision… and knowing what to ask can make all the difference.

That’s why we put together a handout with questions to ask when exploring home care options, helping potential clients and care partners make an informed decision and choose the right provider for their needs.

From how long an agency has been in business and its state survey results to caregiver screening, training and supervision, services offered, fees, and individualized care planning, these questions help families look beyond the basics. They provide a better understanding of an agency’s experience and overall approach to care, helping families make a more informed decision about who they trust to care for their loved one.

And here’s the thing: we encourage families to use these questions when talking with any home care agency, not just Visiting Angels.

Finding the right fit matters. Families should feel comfortable asking questions, comparing their options, and choosing the provider they feel is best for their loved one.

Because the right care starts with asking the right questions. 💙

Cold weather and WIND didn’t stop us… we WALKED to End Alzheimer’s! 💜

Despite the bitter cold, our Angels on the Move team showed up in a big way at today's Walk to End Alzheimer’s in York! Thank you to everyone who bundled up, brought family and friends (and pups), and helped us raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.

We’re so grateful for this incredible team and everyone who braved the chilly temperatures to walk alongside us for such an important cause!

Together, we’re one step closer to a world without Alzheimer’s! 💜
