Sleep tight, ponies—tomorrow is officially the FIRST DAY of school!

The classrooms are prepped, the hallways are clean, and our teachers and staff are absolutely thrilled to welcome everyone back tomorrow morning to West Manheim.

Before you turn off the lights tonight, here is a quick final checklist to set your student up for a stress-free morning:

🎒 Backpack packed and waiting by the door?

🍎 Lunch, water bottle, and snacks prepped?
⏰ Alarms set just a tiny bit earlier than usual?

From starting a new chapter in 1st grade to leading the school as 5th graders—our West Manheim campus was buzzing last night! 🌟 We loved welcoming our 1st and 5th-grade families to meet the staff, check out classrooms, and set the stage for an unforgettable year ahead at our last Back to School Night event. Thank you to all our families who attended this week, and to our staff who prepared classrooms, copies, hallways, and buses to welcome our students back. Students, we are so excited to see you all next Tuesday! 💙💛

Returning Ponies are back in stride! 📚🎨 It was so great seeing our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders showing off their classrooms, reconnecting with friends, and meeting their teachers for the new year last night. The energy in the building was incredible. Let’s make this 2026-2027 school year our best one yet! 💙💛

Big steps for our littlest Ponies! 🐴✨ Kindergarten Welcome to School Night was full of bright smiles and new adventures. Our families toured classrooms, met our amazing teachers and school admin, connected with the WM PTO, and learned about lunch routines with cafeteria staff. The highlight? Taking a practice ride on the big yellow bus! Welcome to the pony family, class of 2039!

📝 District Forms: Have you completed and submitted your back-to-school paperwork online?
🏫 Classroom Assignments: Do you know who your student’s teacher is? Coming to our Back to School Nights this week will help start out the year with a familiar face and location.
🚌 Transportation: Have you double-checked your bus routes, pickup times, or drop-off procedures?

Wednesday, August 12, 2025: 2nd and 4th Grade Open House from 5:00-7:00pm

Wednesday, August 12, 2025: 3rd Grade Orientation & Room Visits 6-7:30pm

Thursday, August 13, 2025: 1st and 5th Grade Open House from 5:00-7:00pm

Please note, Kindergarten and Third Grade Back-to-School Nights are orientations. Plan to start in the cafeteria during the grade level's scheduled time.
It will be important for K & 3 families to be present for the entire event.

Grades 1, 2, 4, and 5 will be open houses. You are welcome to visit your child's classroom teacher at any time between 5:00 and 7:00.

☀️ And that’s a wrap on the 2025–2026 school year. ☀️

Today, our teachers and staff lined the halls and sidewalks to give our 5th graders and all students one final send-off filled with waves, cheers, high fives, smiles… and yes, even a few tears.

As buses pulled away and students headed into summer, it was a beautiful reminder of the relationships, memories, growth, and love shared throughout this school year. We are so proud of everything our Ponies accomplished and so thankful for the incredible staff, students, and families who made this year so special.

Have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer, Ponies! We can’t wait to see you again next year. 💙💛🐴
