Hot off the presses! Check out the latest edition of the Rec Guide, featuring a wide range of activities, events, and helpful information! Take a peak online or grab your hard copy at the Montpelier Recreation Center and other government facilities throughout the County. Also, keep an eye on those book bags - a copy of the Rec Guide goes home with every HCPS elementary student. Please note that some programs require registration and can fill up quickly! We can’t wait to see you and your friends this fall!

Are you ready for some genuine country music!!! Michael Hazelwood and The Freight Train Five take the stage at our final Sounds at Sunset concert next Friday, September 4, at Poor Farm Park! We will fire things up at 5:30 and be scootin’ our boots all night long (or until 8:30 PM). You’ll hear some of your favorites from legends like Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, and Johnny Cash as well as today’s hottest songs from Luke Combs, John Pardi, and Cole Swindell. 🎸👢🎶

All concerts are free to attend and appropriate for all ages. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed at all times. Concessions will be available for purchase in the food truck court and beer garden (for guests ages 21+). Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets. Outside alcohol is prohibited.

The Sounds at Sunset Concert Series returns to the Hanover Courthouse Complex on Friday, August 7! Trademark will bring pure party sophistication to the stage with powerhouse vocals, polished musicianship, and a dynamic stage presence. We normally recommend bringing a chair but with this energy, we know you won’t be able to sit still! 🎷 🎉 🎸

The playground parking lot at Montpelier Park will be closed August 3-7 for paving. Visitors should park at the Montpelier Recreation Center during the closure.

✅ All park amenities will remain open for use during construction.
