Just before the start of the school year, SSG Houchins and SSG Locas had the opportunity to be a part of the Atlee High School AFJROTC traing camp for new cadets. It was a great opportunity to meet the new cadets and work with the upper cadets as they took on the role of cadre. The day started of with some pt, doing some modified APFT events. Then some tail gate training with some of the personal equipment that the Virginia National Guard uses, as well as some Q&A time. Then it was in to the classroom for some lucnh and land nav training from SSG Houchins. The day ended with the cadre introducing the new cadets to the Raider Team and SSG Locas giving a class on tying a swiss seat. Finally, a little team building by pulling a HMMWV.
