Meet Colton Chandler, 2025-26 Ivy Tech Student Ambassador from Southwestern Jefferson County Schools!

"Hi! My name is Colton Chandler and I am a senior at Southwestern High school. My parents suggested that I explore the opportunities of the Ivy Tech Dual Credit program my junior year. I chose Industrial Maintenance as it offers a wide range of technical skills and hands on learning that I can utilize in multiple different career fields. An interesting fact about me is, at the age of thirteen, I harvested a whitetail buck that made the Indiana Hoosier Record books and went on to be displayed at the Indiana Deer & Turkey Show, Hoosier Wall of Fame!"

Colton will help play the role in promoting Ivy Tech Madison, assisting with campus events, promoting student engagement, and representing excellence!

Meet Jenna Owens, 2025-26 Ivy Tech Student Ambassador from Southwestern Jefferson County Schools!

"Hi, I’m Jenna Owens and I am a senior at Southwestern High School! I am a dual credit student with Ivy Tech, and am on track to receive my Indiana College Core through dual credit/enrollment classes. In my free time I love to play sports (especially volleyball) and spend time with friends and family. I look forward to being a student ambassador, helping my community and school further their education through Ivy Tech!"

✨SENIORS✨ This is your first scholarship reminder for the 2025-26 school year! Students and families were emailed information on July 1st. Please review the Community Foundation's eligibility requirements closely! ☺️

The online application for the 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship in Jefferson County is now open! If you're a high school student and meet the following requirements, submit your application by Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Noon:
📍Reside in Jefferson County, IN
📚 Attend a Jefferson County, IN accredited high school
🏆 Rank in the top 10% of your class
🎓 Will graduate high school before June 30, 2026
🏦 Plan to pursue a full-time baccalaureate degree at an accredited Indiana college or university
