We had the first children's garden club meeting today and it was great. We're hoping more kids may want to get involved as the summer goes on. Let us know!

This year's summer reading theme is "Plant a Seed, Read". We will be having garden and plant-related programs and performers all summer.
We are also starting a garden club for kids age six years and older. The first meeting is this Wednesday, January 17, at 4:00. We will be planting beans, carrots and radishes and talking about what other garden activities we would like to do. About twenty kids came to see Spider and Trouble last Saturday, and the dogs loved having several books read to them.

Spider and Trouble, the Chihuahua therapy dogs, will be at the library this Saturday, March 14, from 11:00 a.m. to noon! Children may read to them or just visit with them.

Our first Stuffed Animal Sleepover was a great success! Seventeen animals and dolls spent the night and had a great time. Among other things, they worked on crafts, watched a movie, explored the building, and had story time before bedding down.
