Please bring your unwanted or expired medications to the Conewago Township Police Department, located at 541 Oxford Avenue, Hanover, PA.

Year-Round Disposal Option
Secure medicine take-back boxes are available in both the Conewago Township Police Department lobby and the Township Administrative Office lobby. These boxes are accessible during normal business hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM.

The Conewago Township Police Department is partnering with the Marine Toys for Tots in their efforts to collect toys for this holiday season.

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, we will be hosting our Stuff the Squad Car event in the Conewago Township Police Department parking lot located at 541 Oxford Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331. Additionally, we have placed a drop-off box in the lobby of the Conewago Township Municipal Office where donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday during business hours.

Toys for Tots brings the goodwill of the season to millions of children around the country who may otherwise not experience it. To date, Toys for Tots has distributed over 708 million toys to 314 million deserving children. Through the gift of a new toy, many more of America’s less fortunate children can feel the magic of Christmas. This year, with your help, we would like to help bring that magic and warmth to as many children as we can.

Our hearts are with the Northern York Regional Police Department, the York County Sheriff's Office and the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as we mourn the tragic loss of three officers in yesterday's shooting.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the fallen and prayers of healing to the officers who were injured.

In moments like this, we are reminded that behind every badge is a family, a community, and a calling to serve. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in York County and join the community in honoring the courage and sacrifice of those we have lost.

We would like to give a special thank you to Dick's Sporting Goods of Hanover, for their generous donation of youth bikes. The bikes will be raffled off at our National Night Out event on Aug. 5th. Det. Burnell Bevenour was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Adams County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Task Force. Det. Bevenour was being recognized for his efforts with investigations in this category of criminal activity. The department is exceptionally lucky to have Det.
