⚠️Stay alert, !

Base officials will conduct Midnight Ride 26 from Aug. 3-14 to evaluate and improve the installation’s ability to respond to real-world events while continuing to execute the mission.

The exercise will feature a series of simulated scenarios designed to test installation response capabilities and identify opportunities to strengthen preparedness.

Base personnel should expect increased emergency response activity, emergency notifications, brief traffic and gate closures, and other exercise-related activity throughout the two-week exercise.

Be advised that Marrett Street will be temporarily closed on Friday, July 10, to support the safety of participants during the upcoming half marathon. The closure will extend from the area directly in front of the tennis courts near the Fitness Center up to behind the Hanscom Conference Center during the following times:

🔴 6:45 to 7:15 a.m.
🔴 8 to 10:30 a.m.

Please plan accordingly and use alternate routes during these closure periods. Thank you for your cooperation and support as organizers ensure a safe event for all participants.

Looking to improve your run time and boost your fitness assessment performance?

The 66th Air Base Group Operation Support Team recently launched the Hanscom AFB Run Club to help service members build endurance, improve running technique and prepare for the 2-mile run component of the Air Force fitness assessment.

“The most commonly failed component is the run,” said Stephen Strosser, OST’s strength and conditioning specialist. “It's a very perishable skill. You need to practice, and if you're not doing it somewhat regularly, you're going to get slower over time.”
